Services

You are the expert in your life; the therapist witnesses your story and offers professional guidance.

Initial phone consultation

Hearing a therapist’s voice and asking questions can help in your decision-making. Please call me for a 15-minute phone consultation at no charge. During this call, you can ask any questions about my experience, education, approach to therapy, and what to expect. And you can tell me why you are seeking therapy.

Your first session

Before your first session, I will send you an email with a link to the SimplePractice client portal. There, you will find several forms to fill out. You will enter your personal information, method of payment, and emergency contact(s) all online. No need to print anything. You can set up appointment reminders here.

If you set up appointment reminders (text, phone, and/or email) you will receive reminders 24 hours and 15 minutes in advance of each appointment. The reminders include a link to our sessions.

During the first session, we can talk about your expectations of therapy, the ways we can work together to meet those expectations, and what brings you to therapy now.

Weekly meetings

It’s best to meet once a week at the same time, on the same day for at least six sessions. If you have to cancel an appointment for any reason, please note that doing so without 24-hour notice means, with some exceptions, that you are responsible for paying your fee even though you did not have a session.

Online sessions

I only offer online sessions at this time. Phones sessions are also available if you prefer. Please note: I cannot provide therapy services if you are out of state.

Results and guarantees

Although no one can guarantee results, many people report feeling hopeful, even relieved after the first session. Therapy can help you to understand yourself, your relationships, and the context in which you live.
